The Allen School of Health Sciences Celebrates Pediatric Awareness

The Allen School of Health Sciences is very proud to support Pediatric Awareness in the month of December as part of our Institution for HOPE (Helping Other People Endure) Program. This unique program allows students, staff, and our local community to get information and participate in activities and events aimed at spreading awareness of different healthcare issues and challenges that people may face on a daily basis. The month of December has been dedicated to Pediatrics and the Allen School of Health Sciences has partnered with Brooklyn Hospital in Brooklyn New York, Jamaica Hospital in Jamaica New York, and Maricopa County Hospital in Phoenix Arizona to make the holidays bright by filling their playrooms with new toys. Student and staff have been very busy collecting donations and delivered them in person just in time for the holidays. Each month a new cause is supported by the Institution for HOPE initiative. Past causes have included Breast Cancer Awareness as well as Diabetes Prevention and Research. The Institution for Hope is just one of many ways in which “Education Comes to Life” here at the Allen School of Health Sciences.
