Dr. Timothy M. Cheslik, DPM
The Allen School is:
An opportunity to share my medical & surgical training with students who are endeavoring to create a career for themselves by helping those in need.
My academic/medical interests include:
Bone Surgery, neuro-pharmacology, psychology, substance abuse counseling/neuro-physiology
Some of the jobs I have had in my lifetime include:
Computer programmer/analyst, Podiatric surgeon, Medical consultant for the pharmaceutical & Biotech industry, College Professor, MA Instructor, Director of Clinical Intelligence, Chief Medical Officer
The best thing about being an instructor is:
Passing the torch (the knowledge that every healthcare provider needs in order to afford care for the sick and infirmed). For each student who obtains the knowledge they touch hundreds and hundreds of lives throughout their career. Seeing a student go through the various stages of their education from novice to expert. To see the depths of professionalism grow.
When I am not in the classroom or on campus I can be found:
Broadway plays, reading books on my Kindle, playing scrabble on my IPad, listening to music, landscaping, working with environmental projects such as the Million Tree project, playing with my dog (she loves tug of war with an old T-shirt)
Movies I can watch over and over:
Young Frankenstein, The Star Trek movies, Von Helsing are a few favorites. I have been collecting movies and TV shows on DVD and have over 4000 to date – too many to watch over and over, bring on the new.
Favorite TV shows:
The Office, Supernatural, King of Queens, Being Human, Extreme makovers
Websites I visit daily:
Being a Board Member of my Co-op, I created a website for our 675 units, so I frequently update the site, Kindle store and Apple AP’s store for books and various AP’s
