In teaching for the Allen School, I have learned to to explain complicated medical information into simpler, laymen’s language. I get great satisfaction in seeing my students’ happy faces after realizing that, they are able to understand and retain the anatomical terms. I’m especially impressed with non-traditional students who are returning to school after having been in the workforce for many years. I also enjoy working with the younger students who may be struggling with many personal and family issues; I find that they often start to relax and become confident when they find that their teacher truly cares.
